Top Music Events & Concerts in Paris in June 2019

As Summer kicks in here in Paris, everyone gets excited about the festival season. With the line-up of concerts, gigs and events taking place this June, there’s something exciting on the calendar almost every day of the month.

To make sure anyone planning a trip to Paris doesn’t miss out on some of the best events this month, these are some of the top events we think you should know about:

Top Things to do in Paris in June 2019

    1. Fête de la Musique
    2. We Love Green Festival
    3. La Défense Jazz Festival
    4. Lenny Kravitz
    5. Maroon 5
    6. Elton John
    7. The Magic Flute Opera

    Fête de la Musique

Arguably unlike any other music festival you’ll go to, the Fête de la Musique has been replicated in cities across Europe, but many say Paris is the original place to experience this unique day out.

On the 21st of June every year (the same day as summer solstice) an average walk down the street in Paris can see you watching jazz bands, drummers, singers and stages that pop up in parks. It’s a free music festival where there’s something different on every corner.

If you’re looking for an official start to summer, this is it.

    We Love Green Festival

The first weekend of the month expect to see a lot of cool people descend on Plaine de la Belle Etoile to hit up a festival that mixes the trendiest artists with a distinct focus on being environmentally friendly.

This festival is worth attention due to the fact of how much focus it is given to make this event as eco friendly as possible to avoid the trappings that most festivals have.

The line-up is focussed on indie, electro and hip-hop acts, with this year including Tame Impala, Chris (Christine & The Queens), Future, Bonobo and Courtney Barnett.

    La Défense Jazz Festival

Very close to our front door, if you like jazz music you will love this year’s La Défense Jazz Festival.

It is a completely free festival with a host of the best jazz artists from France and around the globe. From Monday 25th June– Sunday 1st July, every evening has a double bill performance, with Thursday and Sunday being the two most popular days; these are when the 41st National Jazz Competition and closing shows take place.

If you have an evening free during that week and you’re staying with us here at Fraser Suites La Defense, it’s a fantastic way to spend the evening.

    Lenny Kravitz

Guaranteed to be a rocking night in Bercy, Lenny Kravitz takes to the stage at the AccorHotels Arena on Wednesday 5th June. Expect to hear all his classics and choice cuts from his new album.

    Maroon 5

Coming off of their incredible halftime show at the Superbowl in February, Maroon 5 is coming to Paris as a part of their Red Pill Blues Tour world tour, that is seeing them go everywhere from Brisbane to Seoul.

This is expected to be one of the most popular concerts of the month, with a lot of screaming if lead singer Adam Levine takes his shirt off.

    Elton John

Arguably one of the artists people would easily put on their bucket lists to go and see, Elton John is going on one of the biggest farewell tours ever, so long, in fact, the tour is taking place over two years.

Paris is one of four stops in France as a part of the Farwell Yellow Brick Road tour and is expected to be nothing but hits from start to finish.

    The Magic Flute Opera

Culture vultures should know that the first half of the month is the final two weeks you’ll be able to see The Magic Flute at The Magic Flute Opera.

Mozart’s last opera is one of his best works, and the chance to see it performed is a rarity.
