    Le Parc Des Princes or the English translation of ‘Princes Park’ is a football stadium situated in the south of the city.  It’s the home of Paris Saint-Germain, one of the most successful football teams in France. The all-seater stadium is located in the 16th arrondissement, south-west of the French capital and is also within walking distance of the Tennis venue Stade Roland Garros.

    The famous French stadium began its sporting history as a velodrome in the late 19th century. With 3,200 seats, for the number one sport in the country at the time, the velodrome marked the history of cycling. Until the end of the 1960s, the velodrome track at Parc des Princes served as the finishing line for the final stage of the Tour de France since it was established in 1903.

    It has since hosted other sports such as rugby, national football matches and high profile tournaments such as being the venue for the 1984 and 2016 UEFA European Championships finals in addition to the 2007 Rugby World Cup.
